Fulham
Back to brick refurbishment to create a 21st Century modern whilst remaining loyal to its Victorian features. Planning was granted for a loft conversion with dormers creating adult playroom with views over Fulham and Chelsea.
Our clients bought a derelict, but impressive house in one of Fulham’s conservation areas which they planned to restore to its former glory, whilst staying true to their roots by opening up the back of the house to the garden for barbecues.
We carried out a number of radical structural layout changes, replacing existing internal walls with modern steelwork throughout. This enabled us to link together previously cramped and dark living spaces to create one magnificent open space kitchen and dining area flowing into the garden.
An upstairs loft was also extended and transformed to an adult entertainment room with built in retractable screen in the ceiling. The end result is a family house which, despite its size, succeeds as a practical, tranquil and light-filled home.
We were extremely pleased with the whole project – it’s exactly what we wanted. And money-wise, they kept to our budget as well as completing the job more or less on time.
