Bayswater
Back-to-brick refurbishment, extended basement and remodeled garden levels gave this elegant apartment a breath of new life. New two storey fully-glazed rear extension and a change of garden levels allowed exteriors and both of the floor levels to merge into one astonishing maisonette.
Our brief was to deliver a minimalist concept designed by the client’s architect, interior designer and friend Julia Davies. We were also tasked with realising the design in to a feasible build and to respond to ongoing structural challenges.
The new designs were to be constructed using the highest quality materials and finishes, combined with an abundance of glass along one side of the flat to create a feeling of light and space and to maximise the outside space which was currently disconnected from the flat.
The luxurious open plan kitchen and living room of the ground floor and the cosy master bedroom at lower level are filled with light and everything culminates with a beautiful finish of timber and glass. The result is a home that stands out from the crowd and boldly shows the value of contemporary design.
Working with Building Design’s team was great. They listened to my needs and were able to deal to all situations which become apparent as the build was underway. I would certainly recommend Building Designs.
