Swiss Cottage
A successful collaboration with celebrated creative designer and architect Annabel Kassar - a private swimming pool in the basement of the house in north London. According to The Telegraph “There might not be a more beautiful swimming pool in private hands in Europe”
The original basement was fairly dark and did not work well and the brief was to completely reorganise the space and to connect it with a garden.
The walls and floor are clad in green granite and the water is reflected in a mirrored stretched ceiling by Barrisol. The swimming pool is internally connected by the bespoke spiral staircase with a sculptural circular arrangement.
The lines of the spaces, and the way light floods in are exciting enough, but the emerald granite that covers every surface and sparkling green mozaic turn it into something truly remarkable.
This successful project lead to a lasting professional collaboration with AKK.
